Prayer and Praise Update

Praise the Lord:

  1. We have reached 35% of our monthly budget goal
  2. Have had a wonderful opportunity to meet with people and share amazing times of ministry
  3. Family is all doing very well
  4. Opportunity to preach this weekend

Prayer Requests:

  1. Focusing on only what the Lord gives us to focus on today.  Don’t carry more burden or responsibility than what is actually ours to carry.
  2. More opportunities to meet with and share ministry with people of like hearts.
  3. Breakthrough in every task the Lord gives us.

Hello, 35!

35%One blessing so far this year is that we’ve reached 35% and the momentum is building! The Lord has also been opening up some interesting doors for us to continue sharing our story and building our team.

This coming weekend we will give the message at the Saturday night and Sunday morning services at my (P’s) home church, NorthRock Foursquare Church in Thornton! Pastor Jeremy has been doing a series on what it means to be “All In” in your faith and has asked us to share our testimony of this past year to close out the series. We are honored and excited! We know God has something wonderful planned for this weekend and we can’t wait to be a part of it! If you’d like to come and hear us, the service times are Saturday, 6pm, and Sunday, 9am and 11:oo am. Click here for more information.

Treading Softly

As we’ve been having these meetings, I’ve been consistently reminded of a passage in the devotional, Jesus Calling. It says, “Learn to listen to Me even while you are listening to other people. As they open their souls to your scrutiny, you are on holy ground.” This has spoken to me over the past few months. The idea that people’s souls are holy ground is so stirringly beautiful and is a poignant reminder to always tread softly when welcomed in. It is an absolute privilege to not only get to share our hearts and calling with others but to be privy to theirs. In these times we’ve experienced the sweetness of the Holy Spirit as He unites us and calls us each to something beyond ourselves.

Colds, Christmases and more Colds

ImageHappy 2013! Here we are, a month into the newness of the year. I must admit that it’s been hard to put together a newsletter in the past month or two. So many different areas of life seemed to converge through the holidays and we were caught up in the whirlwind. In the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, we each caught the Colorado cold, moved out of our home for a little over a week to make room for house guests, had our traditional 2 Christmas Eves, 2 Christmas’ and took care of everyone around us who also caught the Colorado cold. Oh, and then we caught it, again. So, here we are, healthy(ish) and into the 2013 swing of things. In the midst of all of that though, we found ourselves meeting with people and seeing God move powerfully. We’ve had the wonderful privilege of hearing people’s hearts and getting a glimpse into the things He’s accomplishing in their lives.

E&e Update

Ellyana and Enjolie have been doing very well in the midst of the changes and chaos of the holidays (minus tantrums and time-outs here and there). Elly is thriving in preschool and is the class favorite, according to her teachers. Enjolie is growing by leaps and bounds and has recently become VERY interested in a little Bible we read at night and carts it around looking at all the pictures. The girls’ relationship with each other has also been growing. Enjolie has started calling Elly, “Ana” and “Ana” has taken to picking Jolie up around the waist and hoisting her places when she needs help. So adorable and nerve-wracking… It remains a challenge to prepare for our life to come and stay fully present here still. We know it’s essential for the girls’ well being to help them be present and yet everything within Clinton and I is propelling us forward. But each day, God shows us how and we manage. It’s Official!

35%Well, it has been a very busy time for us the past couple of months! We have seen God move in amazing ways and gotten opportunities to partner with people who are passionate about God’s work around the world and especially passionate about all of the incredible things He’s accomplishing in Kenya through the Cell Church ministry!

So, because of these opportunities we are so excited to announce that we are currently at 35%!! Even in the midst of the holidays, with travel, family and colds, the Lord continued to bring people into our lives and build partnerships. We are greatly looking forward to seeing what the Lord has in store for this new year!
